Anna & Justin Engagement

Anna and Justin are good friends of my girlfriend's and are an all-around great couple. I took photos of Justin's band, The Fantastic Circus, a while back. I'm sad to say that they're having a destination wedding in Mexico later this year and I'm not going to be able to go.

We had an awesome time today in downtown Tyler with their engagements.

The image below is something I'm experimenting with. I tell myself time and time again not to do anything to photos that might seem dated in the future. Textures are a popular trend, and when done to the right images, look awesome. I'm going to use it sparingly, and only if an image needs a texture. Look for more in the future.

I got to try out my newest lens, Canon's 24mm tilt shift, which distorts the focal plane and can make some nice effects. I can definitely see myself overusing it though!

Like I said, they're a fun couple.

After going out to eat, we went back downtown to get some awesome night shots.
