What time should I get married?
Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 02:10AM I'm starting a blog series about the questions I get most often at client meetings. Today's topic: When should I get married.
Putting aside the philosophical and emotional aspects, let's just concentrate on the temporal aspects. No one can tell you when you're ready, but I can however, suggest a good time of day.
For an outdoor wedding, especially in the summer, plan for mid-evening. While sunset weddings might seem romantic, the ever lowering sun and coming darkness will surely make your photography want to drop some choice words.
My advice: for outdoor weddings, plan about an hour-and-a-half to two hours before sunset. That will give the photographer the chance to shoot the ceremony, take formals afterword and still have enough light left for a small session with the two of you alone.

For instance, July 18, 2009, the sun will set at 8:28 p.m.
After that, you can party 'til dawn.
And because every post is better with a photo, here's my dog Gigi.

Love the greyhound girl, she is so adorable. Our greyhound is one of my favorite subjects. I always have fun with that long, skinny muzzle, great for depth of field fun :)
This WA shot is so neat!
What kind of lens did you use?
