I'm so glad you all are spending your insanely precious time surfing my blog.

Instead of going off on some tangent, I'll just say that Wedding photography is what I specialize in. I love it and I don't have plans to do anything else.

I specialize in a non-traditional, unfettered style of wedding photography. I firmly believe that wedding photography doesn't have to be boring or lame.

On this blog you will find my latest weddings, engagements and bridal sessions, as well as random personal information and pictures I take on a day-to-day basis.

Thanks for coming by!

Miranda & Jonathan

Saturday (speedblogging -- again) I had the opportunity to second shoot with one of my favorite local photographers, and good friend, Brandi. The day was awesome, hot, intense and extremely Catholic. I had never shot a Catholic wedding before yesterday, and I have to say, Catholics know how to get their wedding on. Have a look.

Jonathan and Miranda decided to see each other before the ceremony (great decision!). Here's Jon waiting at the alter.

I would feel like a bad photographer if I didn't utilize the awesome stained glass in the cathedral.

Off to the reception. Intoxication did ensue.

Brandi let me use her fisheye. It will be my next purchase.

Canton

Whew! I'm completely beat. This morning I awoke bright and early to head off to the World's Biggest Flea Market in Canton to shoot for an upcoming national magazine featuring flea market finds.

The day started chilly early, but warmed up quickly as we went through the junk booths. Have a look at the awesome details and neat finds.

The assignment was to put together a travelogue of local flavor and junk-market finds. This guy fit the "Canton characters" segment.

Elise & Nathan

Yesterday (yes, Im speed blogging) Elise and Nathan were married in Tyler's own Pollard United Methodist Church. The day was filled with a congruence of events that I could never have thought would happen.

1: I met with Elise and Nathan a few weeks ago to discuss the wedding and finalize all the details. They asked me if I knew any songs that were good for walking down the isle. I mentioned my favorite classical peice, Clair De Lune by Debussy. If you're not familiar with the song, take about an hour of your life and listen to it over and over again.

As we were setting up for pictures in the sanctuary, the musicians were prepping for the wedding with, you guessed it, Clair De Lune. I turned to Elise and told her that was the song I mentioned. She said, "I know, that's what we're walking out to."

2: I was chatting up the bride's maids during the pre-ceremony and I asked them where they were all from. The MOH said she was from the DFW area, and I asked where specifically. She asked me if I knew where Grapevine was, I said yes, I grew up in Colleyville. Now, anyone from Colleyville never says so because not many people know where Colleyville is. But the MOH of a bride from Houston, just so happened to go to the same church I grew up in, First Baptist Colleyville, and we're almost certain we knew each other as pre-schoolers. It's not a small world. It's a very small world.

Now for pictures.

I never post post-ceremony formals, but this is as close as you're going to get.
